We’ve spent many months at home. And with the exception of dressing up (at least from the waist up) for Zoom meetings, we’ve mainly been decked out in comfy sweats and ribbed knits. But now it’s time to swing the pendulum the other way. We’ll start at the bottom. You’ll be happy to know that there are tons of polished pants out there that still allow you to lounge around the house.
The secret to staying comfortable at home or at your (home) office is to forgo tailored, slim slacks. Opt instead for trousers with wider legs or palazzo pants. That doesn’t mean slipping on pairs with hems so long you trip over them. Because baggy still equals sloppy. No, the goal here is to keep your legs from feeling constricted in standard, straight-leg trousers.
Up top, you can keep sporting your at-home staples. Everything from sweatshirts to sweaters to tees will work. You can break out your oversized blazer or ruffle collar blouse if you feel like dressing up from the waist up, too.
Check out the slideshow above for the best pairs of polished pants you can still kick back in.
