We’re pretty sure your focus right now is on acquiring all the spring-appropriate shoes you can handle. But we’re asking you to think forward to fall. That’s because with all the recent Fall 2020 shows from New York to Paris, we’re in a fall footwear state of mind.
Shoes may be pretty hard to spot on the runways, even if you’re actually seated in the front row. They’re usually camouflaged by the pants, dresses and skirts they’re paired with. So we decided to take a closer look at all of the boots, sky-high heels and even flats the Fall 2020 runways had to offer.
Looking to add a little height? Try Celine’s Mary Janes or Moschino’s retro flowery pumps. If pointy toe heels are more your thing, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney and Mugler have you covered. When it comes to boots, architectural heels are in, from Ann Demeulemeester to JW Anderson to Self-Portrait. And embellishments were everywhere. We’re talking studs (Gucci), pinwheels (Loewe), colorful gems (Rochas), buckles (Zimmermann, Chloe) and chains (Sacai, Y/Project).
