Von Furstenberg told Refinery29 in a 2013 interview that it was empowering to watch women embrace the style. “It was so effortless, and it allowed women to go to work and still feel like women … I used to travel all over the country, meeting someone in different cities and helping them to tie their wrap dresses.”
While von Furstenberg is still releasing new iterations of the wrap dress, it has evolved over the years. Now we also have wrap skirts that are just as effortless as the original wrap dress.
