Spring 2020 Styling Tricks
Adeam Spring 2020
On those days when it’s a bit brisk, try layering a denim bustier over a button-down tucked into khakis. Then slip on a trench, then slip on a denim vest over the trench.
Simone Rocha Spring 2020
Layer a colorfully embroidered top over an equally eye-catching skirt over complementary cuffed pants.
Proenza Schouler Spring 2020
Play a little peekaboo by layering an asymmetric top under an oversized blazer paired with the matching pants. Feeling a little exposed? Button the blazer and no one will be the wiser.
Chloe Spring 2020
Sheer dresses can be tricky to wear IRL even if you embrace the visible bra trend. Instead, layer one over a patterned dress of equal or shorter length.
Rejina Pyo Spring 2020
Show a little shoulder by wearing a billowy wrap top over a ribbed tank (or one-piece swimsuit) and a pleated skirt.
Giorgio Armani Spring 2020
Make a short-sleeve sheer top a tad more modest by wearing it under a sleeveless and hooded jacket. Slouchy slacks FTW.
Sally LaPointe Spring 2020
Take a long knit dress or cardigan and half tuck it into silky pants. Drape a coordinating silky jacket over top to stay warm.
Givenchy Spring 2020
Warm weather leather will be popular the next few months so why not take advantage? Top off a sleeveless leather top with a matching bandana around your neck. A pleated maxi skirt makes the look.
Louis Vuitton Spring 2020
Three-piece suits aren’t exactly practical when the temps go above 60 degrees. Skip the blazer and layer your go-to vest over a sleeveless shirt, preferably one boasting a pointy collar . Feel free to let your vest and trousers clash.
Eckhaus Latta Spring 2020
A wide bandeau and skirt set is a summer staple. Wear the set in spring by working in an open crisp white shirt under the top and over the skirt.
Richard Malone Spring 2020
Try three trends at once by wearing a sheer ruched sleeveless jacket over a shiny slip dress. Then simply slip on a skirt that lets you control the length via drawstrings .
Khaite Spring 2020
We all know that we can extend the life of our strapless dresses by slipping on a shirt underneath. Instead of opting for a basic tee, try selecting a top with a more structured neckline and distinctive sleeves.
Burberry Spring 2020
Cropped blazers and skirt suits are trending. Get the best of both worlds by slipping a long button-down under the jacket, then slip on the miniskirt so the shirt pokes out the bottom.
Ermanno Scervino Spring 2020
Capes have been all over recent runways. The cropped versions can still work this season. Just drape one over a spring-appropriate sweater and leather shorts.
Etro Spring 2020
Take your romper to the next level by wearing it over a striped button-down. Add in a lightweight blazer to show you mean business.
Versace Spring 2020
Jungle print not required but highly recommended. Take a tie-dye tank and sport it under an unbuttoned button-down. Round out the outfit with a lightweight hooded jacket and graphic shorts.
Valentino Spring 2020
Pairing a cropped white shirt with white shorts is a no-brainer. Covering up the shorts with a see-through lace skirt is genius.
Bottega Veneta Spring 2020
Put that netted tank to good use by flaunting it over a halterneck top in a coordinating color. Slip a corresponding bolero on top and team with buttery leather shorts.
Ulla Johnson Spring 2020
Show off those puff sleeves by layering your favorite top under a patterned tank tucked into patterned shorts. Bonus points for mixing prints.
Zimmermann Spring 2020
Because two tanks are better than one. Especially when you poke your head through one of the arm holes of the top layer. Wrap up the look with a graphic skirt and you’re good to go.
