Jason Wu, who rose to fame for dressing former First Lady Michelle Obama, has created his first plus-size collection with clothing brand ELOQUII. Just in time for the holidays, the collection is nothing short of sexy and glamorous, an aesthetic that can be hard to find for the plus-size market. “Women want to look feminine and sexy and I think it’s a market that traditionally shied away from those specific values. It was more about covering up than dressing up. And I think that’s something that you know, people are over. And that’s my model, if you’re going to do something, embrace it fully or don’t do it at all,” Wu said in an interview with ELLE.
The collection, which dropped yesterday, features dresses, gowns and a tuxedo-inspired pantsuit in sizes 14-28. All pieces are curve-hugging with plunging necklines and well-placed slits.
