Of course, Rihanna is hardly breaking ground in wearing a visible bra. Madonna, the visible bra pioneer, has been sporting the look since the 80s. It’s a tradition that has been carried on by stars like Gwen Stefani and Sarah Jessica Parker, both on and off the screen. The key to making the visible bra appropriate at work is to pair it right. Saint Laurent’s Spring 2018 ready-to-wear collection made a huge case for the visible bra and teamed it with everything from frills to goth overlays. From Louis Vuitton to Maison Margiela, everyone seems to have found a way to make the visible bra look chic and put together.
