The 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show happened in Shanghai last week and aired on CBS last night. Lows included the Native American-inspired headdresses, the lingerie giant’s tone-deaf decision to air Ming Xi’s fall (and backstage cry) and the lack of Gigi Hadid (not to mention any plus-size models). Highs included Harry Styles’ heart-twinging performance (and minty-fresh Givenchy suit), Lais Ribeiro’s $2 million Fantasy Bra lewk and, last but not least, the unveiling of Victoria’s Secret and Balmain’s very rock’n’roll capsule collection.
Fresh off his lipstick collab with L’Oréal, Olivier Rousteing — a self-professed “machine” — teamed up with Victoria’s Secret to create a plaid and stud-filled #VSxBalmain lingerie line that hit the VS runway during the show’s aptly named “Punk Angels” segment.
And while those custom Rousteing-designed wings will remain forever out of our non-angel reach, the limited-edition line of bras, panties and tees is now available for purchase online and at select Victoria’s Secret stores. Prices range from $28 for a simple-ish panty to $248 for a Swarovski-studded bustier. (Crystals are trending, y’all.)
