Last year about this time, Kanye West delivered an extremely sexy music video for “Fade” starring Teyana Taylor during the 2016 MTV VMAs. This year, it appears the Teen Choice Awards has the honor of debuting one of the most sexy and talked-about videos of the year (even if it was just a sneak peek).
Bruno Mars teased teens with a snippet of the rather racy yet classy video for his track “Versace on the Floor” starring himself and Zendaya before releasing the full version online. In it, the two are neighbors and Bruno serenades the actress through their joined wall. Both are wearing Versace (natch) with Zendaya’s heavily embellished plunging gold minidress almost acting like a third character in the video.
As Bruno sings basically about getting naked, Zendaya lip syncs along next door before ultimately letting her Versace drop to the floor and knocking on Bruno’s door (actually, we don’t see her knocking on his door because the vid has faded to black by that time). This is a pretty racy move for the Disney star, but not entirely surprising as all members of the Mickey Mouse club eventually do something a bit scandalous to “escape” that image. And Zendaya’s a real fan of Bruno. She performed his now-classic “24K Magic” on Lip Sync Battle.
Regarding her new video endeavor, Zendaya said via Instagram, “When the flyest man out here calls you for one of the flyest songs out..you make it happen.”
