Seeing Double: Gwyneth Paltrow and Zoe Saldana are Ladies in Leather and More Matching Celebs

Double-Take #1: Ladies in Leather

Every celebrity’s favorite pant right now is leather, as Gwyneth Paltrow and Zoe Saldana confirmed when they wore almost identical leather looks this week. Paltrow wore a second-skin pair by Hugo Boss when she promoted the designer’s fragrance, Boss Nuit Pour Femme, softening the rock ‘n’ roll look with a black sleeveless silk blouse, Nicholas Kirkwood mules and a Valentino studded cuff. Saldana took a classic approach to her high-waisted pair while heading to the Miu Miu show during PFW. She tucked in a moody-hued silk raglan blouse to show off her shape and lightened things up with nude platform pumps and a beaded clutch. Whose leather look do you love?

Double-Take #2: Eggplant Coat

Eggplant—or should we say ‘aubergine’ since these two are both Brits—certainly seems a unique color for a coat… until you see two of them. Victoria Beckham left her own design open over her shoulders at the premiere of Viva Forever, while Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge gave her Hobbs coat a more feminine shape with a narrow belt on an official visit to Grimsby. You might guess that Princess Kate would’ve taken a style note from one of the UK’s best designers, but it’s actually the other way around—the royal’s been wearing hers since Valentine’s Day of last year, when it reportedly sold out instantly.

Double-Take #3: Black and White Gown with Green Jewelry

Black and white looks are huge right now, so it’s no surprise that Jessica Paré and Natalie Portman both wore them to awards shows—but side by side, their looks’ delicate green accents do seem remarkably similar. The Mad Men actress’ white one-shoulder Jason Wu gown from way back in September at the Emmys featured black accents just like the white empire waist Christian Dior gown which Portman wore to the Vanity Fair Oscars party. Paré added an unexpected pop of color with a green Bulgari cocktail ring, while Portman adorned herself with emerald drop earrings. Coincidence or copying? It doesn’t really matter, since both of them looked gorgeous.
