Steering the style ship is the gorgeous Elle MacPherson, who not only plays host but also executive produces the show. Needless to say, she wears both hats very well. In between Fashion Star duties, designing for her eponymous intimates line, and developing “The Body” skincare products, I caught up with one of People’s “Most Beautiful People” to do a little purse diving.
Julie Bensman: Which bag do you carry most often?
Elle MacPherson: Hermes Jypsiere bag. My best friend gave it to me for my birthday a few years ago.
JB: What are some beauty essentials you can’t live without?
EM: Revlon Age Defying makeup. Invisible Zinc sunscreen. Paw paw ointment for cuts/scrapes, dry skin and hair, you name it.
JB: What would we be surprised to find in your purse right now?
EM: My reading glasses — I can’t see!
JB: iPhone or Blackberry?
EM: Blackberry
JB: What’s on your iPod right now?
EM: A bit of everything, from 70s to dubstep.
JB: If you had a day 100% free of work and personal obligations, where would you go and what would you do?
EM: Cozy with my kids at home or in the park, read, meditate, and nap.
