Singer and songwriter Lily Allen just opened her London vintage clothing store, Lucy in Disguise, with her sister Sarah Owen last year; the boutique has been featured on the British TV program, Lily Allen: From Riches to Rags, and now the duo is crafting their own vintage Pre-Fall creations.
The 18-piece collection is set to feature dresses like high-waisted maxis and flapper-inspired sequin numbers. The initial line will come out in June, available through both lucyindisguise.com and shopbop.com.

Lily’s style has been described as quirky, disheveled, fashion-forward, and plenty of other adjectives in between. Chanel thought the British star was worthy of starring in the brand’s Fall 2009 campaign shot by Karl Lagerfeld for the Coco Cocoon handbag line. She even created a line for New Look called Lily Loves back in 2007. Her style is often debated, but Lily’s love of fashion is always on full display. Although she looks pretty in pink, this Spring 2008 Giles Deacon strapless frock with a corset top may not have been the best choice for the British Fashion Awards in November 2007.

Lily appeared slightly underdressed in a wrinkled gingham dress at the April 2008 UK premiere of Flashbacks of a Fool. At least she slipped on some sleek Chanel shoes. The fur print Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2008 gown Lily wore to the GQ Men of the Year Awards held at London’s Royal Opera House in September 2008 was impressively sophisticated, but seemed to overwhelm the petite star.

This sheer-paneled Armand Basi One Spring 2009 outfit didn’t seem appropriate for a December 2008 business meeting the star attended. Big shades, a red Chanel purse, leather gloves, and a pair of Trib Two pumps by Yves Saint Laurent only amplified the intensity. Sturdy green boots paired with a black and white printed baggy-sleeved sweater made up Lily’s shopping outfit on a rainy London day in December 2008.

A leopard-print coat and plaid button-up don’t look great together, and that’s just what Lily wore when she left her house in January 2009. However, a blunt bob really added to the Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 black gown she wore for the 2010 BRIT Awards in February of last year. It all was a bit too ornate though, with a red embroidered armor-like collar and jeweled waist embellishment.

For the May 2010 Ivor Novello Awards, Lily selected a romantic Victorian style full-length cream gown which would probably fit in well at her vintage shop. Proving why the iconic fashion house adores her, Lily was charming in Chanel for Paris Fashion Week last month. She hit the brand’s Fall/Winter 2011 show in an enviable Chanel Pre-Fall 2011 tweed coat partnered with a vivid red Chanel quilted bag.
