We’re three days into the Spring 2025 season of Paris Fashion Week and earlier this afternoon, Julien Dossena unveiled his Rabanne Spring 2025 collection. Dossena has been the creative force behind the Paris-based fashion house founded in founded in 1966 by Spanish designer Paco Rabanne. Dossena looked to Gigi Hadid to open up his collection, decked out in layered striped shirts and Bermuda shorts. The Rabanne creative director served up a vision of casual hoodies and pastel knits alongside the house’s signature dazzling designs, including a dress crafted entirely out of 2500 ceramic discs and a limited edition nano bag made of 18K gold and diamonds (costing a whopping $279,000 and now considered the world’s most expensive).
Rabanne Spring 2025 Collection Review
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Not pieces of the dress falling off as the model’s walking!” [LadyJunon]
“One of Julien Dossena’s worst for me. I only enjoyed two looks and the music.” [GivenchyAddict]
“Basic daywear but not put together interesting enough like Miu Miu. A knock-off Vuitton as always (last season was quite good tapping into a bit of Sacai and Junya Watanabe territory).” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]
“I thought the same and at this point Julien Dossena is not even hiding it. A total copy and paste from Nicolas Ghesquière. It could have been executed in a better way.” [badgalcrush]
“Louis Vuitton by Nicholas Ghesquière but with chainmail embroideries and dresses.” [FashionPower]
“I enjoyed it but indeed, it does echo Louis Vuitton. What I like about this collection is also what brings it down: the styling. I think Marie-Amélie Sauvé did her thing with the layering but unfortunately, because it’s so similar to what she does with Nicolas, it loses impact.” [Lola701]
“Who buys this stuff? I never see anyone wearing it. They don’t sell bags. Who cares?” [90sfan]
“Lots of cool things but it just becomes weak because of too many showpieces and over-styling and design. No development of RTW codes other than metal and gold.” [PDFSD]
