Forum Members Review Kim Jones’ Spring 2025 Dior Men Collection, a Tribute to Ceramicist Hylton Nel

Right now, we’re on day four of Menswear Paris Fashion Week and Kim Jones has unveiled his Spring 2025 collection for Dior Men. The likes of Bad Bunny, Robert Pattinson, Kate Moss and Demi Moore flocked to Paris to bare witness to Jones’ latest menswear offering for the fabled French fashion house. Guests were ushered inside a vast showspace located within the French capital, complete with a runway adorned with supersized reproductions of artist Hylton Nel’s anthropomorphic ceramic animals. The British designer who has been the creative force behind Dior Men since 2018 paid tribute his friend, the South African ceramicist Hylton Nel with his collection. Models paraded through the sculptures in tailored trousers and bermuda shorts, sleeveless knits – all in a muted color palette. The iconic Dior saddle bag finished off a handful of looks, and bucket hats will be huge come next spring (…if Kim Jones has his way).

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Kim Jones is a prime example of creative regress. He evolved from a great menswear designer for LV to this bucket hat twink lack of proportions merchandise creative he is now. Waste of resources and people’s time. Take away from him any possibility of collab with artists and he will dissolve into thin air.” [Olaffo]

“I don’t quite understand why Delphine Arnault keeps him around? Is Dior Men performing so well in sales that she simply doesn’t care? Or the designers she wants are unavailable/unwilling?” [GRFC]

“Why are designers these days afraid to make clothes for men? To create clothes to make you look good and confident? I hate the casting: models with no charisma and bland.” [GivenchyAddict]

“I swear he is colorblind, there is no other explanation at this point.” [avonlea002]

“I only like 3 coats, the rest is just there. Like most of Kim Jones’ collections, you look at it, there are a few nice pieces, and you move on and you forget about it.” [THD96]
