Here’s Exactly What to Look Forward to During Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week Fall 2024

On the heels of Menswear Paris Fashion Week, the Fall 2024 season of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week is upon us. The momentum is at boiling point, even more so following the outright spectacle of Vogue World: Paris. Running June 24-27, the official calendar released by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode will be a slightly more subdued affair this season (as the setup for the 2024 Olympic Games reeks havoc on the French capital).

Notable absentees from the schedule are Maison Margiela, Fendi and Valentino. Last season, back in January, John Galliano staged his masterful Maison Margiela Artisanal showcase underneath Paris’ Pont Alexandre III bridge and broke the internet (and our forums) in the process. Galliano’s presence on the calendar this season will be sorely SORELY missed.

Nevertheless, throughout the four-day couture extravaganza, there is still much to look forward to. It will be Daniel Roseberry at Schiaparelli who will commence festivities on Monday. Iris Van Herpen will follow suit and Christian Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri will unveil her couture creations mid-afternoon. Thom Browne and Giambattista Valli are set to close out day one – with a bang. Tuesday will open up with Chanel. Subsequent to the abrupt and sudden departure of creative director Virginie Viard, the question still remains whether or not the designer will take a bow after the show (stay tuned). Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week staples Alexis Mabille, Stéphane Rolland will also present Tuesday. In addition to Charles De Vilmorin. A parade of unapologetic glamour, elegance and sophistication is guaranteed as Giorgio Armani stages his Giorgio Armani Privé showcase at 06:30pm CEST.

Come Wednesday, the fashion pack will be flocking to bare witness to Demna’s Balenciaga, undoubtedly attracting the who’s who. Following the shows of Elie Saab, Viktor & Rolf and Zuhair Murad, Courrèges’ Nicolas Di Felice will exhibit his creations as Jean Paul Gaultier’s guest couturier on Wednesday, June 26. To conclude the carousel of couture shows Ashi Studio, Gaurav Gupta and Robert Wun will show on Thursday.

Bring it on, we say!
