August is a tricky month. At least when it comes to magazine covers. It’s the end of summer but right before those always epic September issues. It can sometimes feel like a throwaway as publications save the goods for the big fall fashion installments. So it’s not surprising that the August 2021 magazine covers are a bit of a letdown. Frankly, the styling leaves a lot to be desired. We’re mainly treated to swimsuits. Or more fall-appropriate fare. Overall the beauty fared better ranging between minimal to glam at its finest. There’s a decent amount of diversity. (But there’s definitely room for much, much more.) The U.K. edition of Harper’s Bazaar decided to shine the spotlight on body positivity.
