Ah, Colette. Even if you’ve never been to Paris, you’ve probably heard of the infamous Parisian boutique that was far more than just a shopping destination. It was an institution. Nestled on the Rue Saint-Honoré, you could shop for the latest fashion collections or check out one of its many exhibitions or events (like a guest curation by Saint Laurent).
The shop shut its doors back in December 2017, much to the dismay of fashion addicts everywhere, but now you can relive the store’s final months thanks to a new hour-long documentary. Colette Mon Amour not only features its founder Colette Roussaux and her daughter Sarah Andelman, who served as the store’s creative director/head buyer, it includes interviews with several celebs like Virgil Abloh and Pharrell Williams about their experiences at the iconic boutique. It’s the next best thing to actually shopping at Colette in its heyday.
The Hugues Lawson-Body-directed documentary will be out next year.
