Collabs are pretty commonplace nowadays. You have Victoria Beckham working with Reebok, Stella McCartney with Adidas and Rihanna’s partnership with Puma. But back in the day when two brands joined forces, it was a big deal. And no one tapped into the scene more than Target.
The mega retailer teamed up with top-tier designers to release truly affordable clothing. From Proenza Schouler to Anna Sui and Missoni, you had to stay up late and jump online the second the collabs dropped to even score pieces from the coveted collections (we speak from experience). So when we heard that Target is bringing back some of the most beloved collabs, we practically jumped for joy.
The retailer’s limited-edition Anniversary Collection will feature must-haves from the past 20 years. It will kick things off by reissuing its inaugural partnership with architect Michael Graves. The Anniversary Collection will include nearly 300 original and iconic items ranging from $7 to $160. And it’s not just bringing back clothing. There will also be home decor and kitchen essentials.
The Anniversary Collection will be available in stores and online starting September 14. Mark your calendar because you’ll probably still have to jump on the collabs before they sell out.
