Most of us know Molly Sims from her five-year stint on Vegas as Delinda Deline and her many editorial spreads in Sports Illustrated. But like some model/actresses before her, Molly is looking to expand her name recognition and brand beyond sexy layouts and fresh-faced Covergirl commercials. This blonde, statuesque beauty has now taken on a new venture, opening up a pop-up shop in Henri Bendels for her vintage, art deco–inspired jewelry line, ‘Grayce by Molly Sims: the Collection’.
“I having been coming to Bendels since I was a little girl with my mom. So when I made this collection I approached them first because I have such fond childhood memories of shopping here,” said Sims.
Inspired by such classic icons as Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, and Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Molly references these 60’s icons into a collection that fuses sophistication with a modern, sexy femininity.
“I love art deco, I love color, and I love mixing lines and elements. Art Deco has a bit of elegance and symmetry, but with a very modern aesthetic that is a little undone … I grew up with Grace Kelly, Audrey and Brigitte … I grew up with those iconic faces, and I wanted to emulate their grace and style.”
Grayce by Molly Sims: the Collection is on display in Henri Bendels’ iconic windows in its Fifth Avenue flagship store. Because the line is merchandised on three floors, shoppers will have the opportunity to style the jewelry by mixing and layering different pieces. The collection consists of necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets, ranging in price from $75-$250. The collection is also sold at select retailers, Scoop, Ron Herman, and Matches London, as well as online at www.graycebymollysims.com.
