Liberty of London has been all over the place lately. If you didn’t know about them before, you certainly did after their collaboration with Target. And now they’ll be getting even more buzz since they’re teaming up with everyone’s favorite shoe label, Manolo Blahnik.
Even though Carrie Bradshaw seems to have turned her back on Manolo Blahnik for Christian Louboutin, most of us still have a major crush on the brand. We can’t wait to see what their collaboration with Liberty of London will bring.
The collection is for the F/W 2010 season, and will consist of limited-edition shoes, prints, and holiday items. Blahnik will also be curating the store’s windows with his own displays, with the “World of Manolo.” If that doesn’t get people inside, we don’t know what will.
Ed Burstell, the buying director for Liberty of London, told StyleList.com: “We’re thrilled to be working with Manolo. He doesn’t sell in the UK anywhere beyond his own shops, so I’m predicting a frenzy on Regent Street. He’s a tsunami of talent – he has ideas every second – and he’s letting us into that world. We are excited to see how great that combination can be.”
The line will launch during Fashion’s Night Out in September, which means you can start getting your holiday wish list together right after it previews.
We love Blahnik’s description of the prints that inspired his collection. He says they’re “so modern, you’d die.”
