Sustainability is more in style than ever before, thanks to dire warnings from scientists about climate change. Major fashion brands are taking steps towards reducing their impact on the environment via global charters and commitments, and celebrities are raising awareness about the importance of making eco-friendly choices. Besides dropping amazing bops, singer SZA has been preparing everyone for her upcoming sustainable brand: Ctrl Fishing Corporation.
The clothing line hasn’t dropped yet, but SZA has given us a few peeks on Instagram, which includes Champion sweatshirts that say “Sustainability Gang” and a colorful 80s-inspired windbreaker that says “Puck Flastic.” Her caption on a photo states, “Who tryn save da ocean,” which hints at her pet cause. In fact, according to a comment on the post, 100 percent of the proceeds from the clothing line will benefit environmental causes.
SZA consistently tags Ctrl Fishing Corporation‘s Instagram account in her posts (it already has almost 34,000 followers, despite having no posts yet) but hasn’t released any further information. Count us in amongst her legion of fans that can’t wait until the official drop.
