There’s nothing that can quite top the Planet of the Apes-inspired Spring/Summer 2009 Christopher Kane collection. In fact, pieces from the line – widely worn by celebrities, including Rihanna – were so popular that they spawned a number of frugally-priced Topshop looks that were part of a limited time-only Christopher Kane for Topshop collection.
For Kane’s Fall/Winter 2010 runway show, the aggressive animal images were replaced by colorful flowers sweetly embroidered onto black leather and set against lace – an odd combination to say the least (think dominatrix meets Little House on the Prairie).
