Music by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs opened the show as rock chic leather numbers made their way down the runway. The first few looks demonstrated sculpted necklines that lead into a stiff draped back. Sleek, dark velvet dresses and drapey blouses rounded out the collection. This season was modern day warrior woman with a rock-star edge.
A monochromatic outfit – red mini-dress topped with a red leather jacket – confidently finished the collection. A risky move on the designer’s behalf, but indeed a fabulous one.
I found the good elements of the 80’s reinvented overall, and the mood was accented by the soundtrack that led the models down the runway. Øverland has proved promise and will continue to impress her adoring audience.
