Since her 1976 debut, Miss Piggy has established herself as a world-class diva, style icon, actress, model, Francophile and proponent of the martial arts. We can now add fashion designer to that list.
In her latest and greatest foray into the world of fashion, the one-time Project Runway judge and InStyle cover girl has, erm, co-designed an exclusive capsule collection with none other than Kate Spade New York. The brand’s holiday line will include a limited-edition Disney Miss Piggy Collection featuring a wristlet, clutch, tote, wallet, necklace, key chain, sweater, stud earrings and iPhone cases (no feathered boas, unfortunately).
The stylish sow’s catch phrase “Who Moi?” appears throughout the collection, as do sparkles and the color fuchsia. Priced between $48 and $378, the Miss Piggy by Kate Spade New York collection hits katespade.com, as well as Nordstrom and Kate Spade specialty stores, on December 1.

In the brand’s holiday ad campaign, Miss Piggy trots out Kate Spade’s new “give it a twist” collection (distinct from her own line), which features the brand’s new, customizable (via initials, stickers, phrases, patches and tassels) accessories. For the campaign, Miss Piggy deigned to share her spotlight with Jourdan Dunn and Catherine Baba.

Following in the footsteps of fellow comediennes Ali Wong, Zosia Mamet and Sarah Jones, Miss Piggy will also star in Kate Spade’s upcoming “Miss Adventure” film. Dropping this December, the short will also feature Zosia Mamet (for the fourth time) and Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine (a natural in front of the camera).
Of her partnership with Kate Spade, Miss Piggy told WWD, “Moi was already a big fan of Kate Spade New York’s Miss Adventure’s series. I mean you see all these fabulous and incredibly strong and wonderful women like Anna Kendrick and Zosia Mamet having fun. So, I thought: I’m fabulous, incredibly strong and wonderful, I need to be part of this. When I discovered they wanted to create product inspired by moi: Well, it was a done deal.”
Of her inimitable style, she stated, “My style is more moi-centric. In the beginning, I used to seek approval from others about my fashion choices. Now, I trust myself. If I wear it, you better like it. Attitude is everything. Your clothes should always make a statement. I like mine to say: ‘Yoo-hoo, everybody, look at me! I’m fabulous! Don’t you wish you were moi?’ I also believe every young woman needs to know that though you may have to struggle and strive to achieve your dreams, you can have oodles of fun along the way. Be curious. Be daring. Be different. Be yourself. And, if that doesn’t work, be moi!” Words to live by.
And there you have it. Fashion collaborations officially know no bounds. Preview the Kate Spade New York holiday collection (including some Miss Piggy pieces) in the slideshow below.
