We’re firmly in the era of the Instagram supermodel. Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss and their ilk have built huge social media followings that have had a major impact on their careers. At this point, a model’s social media following is a perk that’s extremely enticing to clients looking to reach a broad audience. Yep, we know about the Instagirls, but we’ve gotta give it up for the Instaguy.
If you ask our forum members, Lucky Blue Smith is it. The 6’3″ 16-year-old platinum blonde stunner is taking the modeling world by storm, appearing in campaigns for Tom Ford, Moncler, H&M, Tommy Hilfiger and more. Smith has walked the runway for Balmain, DSquared2, Jeremy Scott, Versace, Moschino and others and was featured on the cover of Jalouse and Harper’s Bazaar China. The Utah boy was discovered at age 10 by the director of Next LA, Alexis Borges, who told Smith to come back to him in a few years, realizing the kid had potential. Lucky was signed by the age of 12.
Did we mention that besides being good looking, he’s equipped with a major following? At 1.3 million on Instagram, Lucky Blue boasts more fans on the social media outlet than Bella Hadid. Out included him on its list of “Instaboys” back when he he was at just 698,000 followers. That’s the kind of buzz only a bonafide It boy could garner. Best of all, he has no problem showing off those baby blues in the selfies he frequently posts to his account. Hey, if we were that good looking, we’d take pictures of ourselves all day too.
