Imagine Karl Lagerfeld dreaming up an opulent candy shop. Now imagine the designer filling it with A-list celebrities, eager editors and a gaggle of models decked out in quirky, technicolor ensembles and Princess Leia buns.
That was the scene earlier today at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul where the Chanel Cruise 2016 show took place. Inside, Gisele Bündchen, Isabelle Huppert, Tilda Swinton and Chanel campaign star Kristen Stewart were spotted front row. They were perched on candy-colored seats, along with an array of buzzy K-pop stars from G-Dragon to Im Yoona. As for the collection? It was one of the most colorful resort shows to date. Think traditional Korean dress mixed with an explosion of kaleidoscope prints, rainbow tweed and decadent estate jewels. Just the kind of sweet treats we crave.
