Carla Zampatti has beaten all the other home-grown designers to the punch, doing MBFWA early with her 50th anniversary runway show at Sydney Opera House today, April 8.
The Spring 2015 collection boasted plenty of hot pinks, cobalt blues and sunny yellows, on pieces with dramatic shoulders, neck-tie detailing and mullet hemlines with an elegant twist. Perfect for women who want to stand out come winter’s end.
Such an esteemed designer pulled in some pretty big-name guests, with the likes of Shanina Shaik, Delta Goodrem, Kate Waterhouse and Marta Dusseldorp stepping out to celebrate the milestone. Check out the looks, which were nowhere near as bright as the collection at hand, in the gallery below.

Carla Zampatti 50th Anniversary
-
Delta Goodrem
The singer opted for a black jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, and we're feeling completely underwhelmed. Perhaps a red lip, a more creative hairstyle, or some accessories could've won us over? Guess we'll never know.
-
Kate Waterhouse
Fashion blogger Kate also thought a black jumpsuit was a good option, but her fluffy Azzedine Alaïa heels and Edie Parker 'Sydney' clutch were easily the most exciting things happening in this outfit.
-
Marta Dusseldorp
Thankfully respected actress Marta livened things up with some contrasting stripes. Again, a red lip would've been killer.
-
Nikki Phillips
Model Nikki was feeling courageous in a revealing lace ensemble with a pair of classic pumps.
-
Shanina Shaik
The Victoria's Secret model looked much sexier in lace, though, going for a wet-look fabric to amp up the seduction.
