Tess Holliday is on a mission to #EffYourBeautyStandards. In 2013, the 5-foot-5-inch, size 22 model started an Instagram campaign for women of all shapes and sizes to celebrate their bodies. The account now has 95,900 followers. Tess’ own Instagram, which has over 472,000 devotees, is a testament to the Mississippi native’s popularity — not to mention photographic evidence of why she became the first size 22 woman to snag a major modeling contract with London’s MiLK Model Management earlier this year. But Tess isn’t the only model who’s breaking down rigid beauty standards, she joins a legion of gorgeous plus-size models and curvy models who think heroin chic is so 1993. We couldn’t agree more.
