After making his NYFW debut last year, Australian designer Dion Lee was asked to come back to the Big Apple for round two in 2014.The label presented its Spring 2015 collection at New York’s Hosfelt Gallery on Saturday, September 6, with a diverse mix of looks, shapes and colour on show.
Top bloggers like Jessica Stein and Margaret Zhang sat front row, as well as model Nicole Trunfio and actress Phoebe Tonkin who all came to support the much-loved designer.
Spring 15 saw Dion Lee portray a special kind of tough femininity, with bulky chain detail on dresses, slouchy suiting, and the label’s usual asymmetry. The luxe element didn’t fall short, though, with the use of either slinky and silky fabrics or structured shapely pieces. Colourways went in a mix of directions, with slick blacks, icy whites, cobalt blue and pops of orange all making an appearance in the range.
