Industry legend Meisel may prefer to keep himself private once outside the photographic studio, but his ideas and images persist in sending out shock waves. Meisel’s portfolio for Italian Vogue‘s September 2011 issue ignited a lengthy debate due to a set of pictures with Stella Tennant. The 43-year-old model’s waist was rumored to have been whittled down to a mere 13 inches for the shoot (lets hope with Photoshop!). “The Discipline of Fashion “was inspired by early 20th Century style figure Ethel Granger.
