What would a Fendi collection be without fur? For Spring 2014, it came by way of plush clutches (they almost looked like dogs tucked under the models’ arms) and handbag adornments. It also accented jewelry and a variety of other accessories adding fun textural elements to the graphic collection.
The main takeaway for spring is light layering. Karl Lagerfeld layered fabrics to craft everything from ombré chiffon dresses to a black leather coat. While many of the looks had boxy or angled cuts, the overall feel was light thanks to astute fabric choices (organza, chiffon, satin, silk) and pastel or patterned colorways.
