It’s official, crop tops are here to stay for spring now that they were once again seen on the runway, this time at David Neville and Marcus Wainwright’s Rag & Bone show. In a somewhat unexpected twist, the designers went in a very minimalist direction, which was heavy on 90s and sportswear influences and low on color. Crop tops aside, there were overalls, cropped roomy trousers, oversized blazers, fitted leather jackets and the collection’s best pieces: very deep V-neck knits. The lineup stuck with a mostly neutral palette of black and white with a few intermittent pastel moments.
Also worth singling out are new bag silhouettes, which included a number of two-toned and monochrome crossbody bags sure to be hot sellers.
