John Galliano – the creative director for his eponymous label John Galliano, his diffusion line Galliano, Christian Dior ready-to-wear, and Dior Haute Couture – has got a lot on his plate these days. In addition to his designing and managing duties, the designer is slated to open one of his namesake boutiques in the posh Bal Harbor Shops in Miami in the coming months. It was also just announced that Galliano’s licensing company Ittierre SpA (they also license, among others, Just Cavalli, C’N’C Costume National, and Ermanno Scervino) will produce a men’s apparel line for the designer’s diffusion line, Galliano. It is slated to launch for Fall 2010 and will be aimed at a “trendsetting, extravagant, adventurous 18-to-35 year-olds” – little surprise, given the British designer’s flair for color, drama, and embellishments. The collection will include outerwear, leather, knitwear, shirts, jackets, jeans, jersey, and accessories and the line will be showcased during Milan Men’s Fashion Week on January 18th.
