Models were styled in Wasson’s own image with SoCal tans and messy beach hair. Her first year in the largest venue of fashion week, the designer did not attempt to appeal to the masses, but instead showed pieced that some would deem inappropriate for most daytime situations. Luckily, the designer showed some more wearable pieces that she has in the past including one loose white dress that would be slightly more forgiving than the denim cut-out romper. While this season’s collection is sure to be well received, time will tell whether or not the designer can continue producing similar designs season after season and retain her popular reputation.
