While both New York City and Moscow have seen a number of their high-end designer shops close in recent months, there has been a lot of good news coming from London. In addition to the recently opened Rick Owens boutique, fashion darling Marc Jacobs has just opened a boutique for his secondary line, Marc by Marc Jacobs. This is the first London Marc by Marc Jacobs shop.
Located on the corned of Mount Street and Audley Street in Mayfair, the boutique officially opened its doors on April 11th amidst a great flurry of anticipation. Fittingly, it’s located in close proximity to the Marc Jacobs store on Mount Street, alongside other big name stores like Lanvin and Christian Louboutin.
The shop, according to Vogue UK, features a Union Jack of blooms in the window along with some of Marc by Marc Jacobs’ signature dresses and blouses, a number of affordable bags (some as low as £19), belts, key chains, purses, T-shirts, umbrellas, and other accessories on the boutique’s main floor. Downstairs, shoppers will find shoes and bags, while upstairs there are sunglasses and coffee table books. The boutique stocks both men’s and women’s wear.
