He has shot in that Figaro Bistrot cafe in L.A. more than a few times. It is indeed a very stunning location, a cozy cafe with a Parisian ambience complete with bar and mirrors. It’s no wonder Steven Meisel likes the place.
His first time shooting there was the ‘Paris Je T’aime’ editorial for U.S. Vogue
And later with Madonna for Louis Vuitton…
The latest shoot was for Alberta Ferreti with Kinga Rajzak, Mina Cvetkovic, Viktoriya Sasonkina.
The Ferretti is amazing, great great cast and very glamourous in a retro way. That little ‘fighting’ thing is something very Meisel, but it gives edge to the ad, and do check out how the fringe on on Kinga’s dress moved.
But still, time to find a new ‘muse’ location Meisel!
