Images of the Hayden Harnett-Target collaboration have just been released and can be viewed at the press section on Target’s website HERE. The line is set to include handbags, totes, clutches, and umbrellas priced between $19.99 and $44.99, which a steal compared to their high-end line where some pieces go for over $700.
Though, if you can afford those price-points, the higher-end line’s handbags and accessories are amazingly durable and those made of leather are incredibly soft – most certainly investment pieces.
Hacker, who is the line’s designer, showed me a few of the sample pieces and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the quality was more than impressive given the price points not to mention chic with the distinctive Hayden Harnett aesthetic.
The Target press release informs us that “style and practicality is the mantra for this collection.
Silhouettes range from oversized envelope clutches to convertible hobos and flight totes.
Finishes include distressed brown or black faux-leather and a multi-color fig-leaf printed canvas. Hardware such as studs, chains and grommets coupled with convertible and interchangeable straps double both as functional and decorative.
Unique to this collection is a sleek and feminine umbrella, which stands out in the signature fig-leaf print.” Trish Adams, Target’s senior vice president, adds that “Toni and Ben [her partner] have a keen eye for thoughtful design – from craftsmanship to style. Each bag in this collection includes conveniently placed handles, straps and pockets. The Target guest will be delighted by the playfulness and versatility of this collection, offered at a great price.”
