Quirky Italian fashion house Moschino has just announced that they will be opening Maison Moschino, a new hotel concept, next year.
The boutique hotel is being developed in partnership with Hotelphilosophy S.p.A, Mobygest Group and the hotel will be located in a former neoclassical railway station, which dates back to 1840, in Viale Monte Grappa, Milan.
The four-story hotel will comprise 54 rooms and 15 suites – each one unique. There will also be a bar, restaurant, garden, gym, and spa all designed under the direction of Moschino creative director Rossella Jardin.
The hotel’s theme is fairy tale and the entrance hall will reportedly features a lamp in the shape of one of Moschino’s signature lampshade dresses and cloud-like light fixtures, and one of the bedrooms has a chandelier accented with red rose petals along with a bed coverlet covered entirely with rose petals.
Jardini has been quoted as saying that in the hotel the ordinary world is painted with a brush of surrealism,” while a Moschino spokesperson told Vogue UK that “the common thread connecting the rooms is a fairy tale theme because to sleep is perchance to dream, and dreams are fairy tales that we are allowed to experience first hand, the fables of a fantasy world that we have created. This is an alternate life in which we direct and stage the scripts of our very own play. The hotel interior reflects Moschino’s distinctive style.”
