While some of this season’s looks were a bit too boxy (coats especially) and the lineup could have done without colorblocked leopard, there was high appeal in the season’s sharp blazers and paneled body-grazing cocktail dresses.
Fall 2013 also marked the debut of the designer’s handbag collection, which includes the Hugo clutch (named for Victor Hugo), the Monceau (named for a park in Paris), the Paris Paris and the Le Sept (both of which are named after nightclubs the designer used to go to). The bags are structured, feature gold hardware, come in jewel tones and come in a variety of textures including calfskin, goatskin and suede.
