Riccardo Tisci has often been inspired by religion so it was little surprise to see strict tailoring and austere shapes that recalled traditional religious dress in his Haute Couture lineup this season. Most notable were a fringed velvet cape, a degrade beaded top, and a fur-lined floor length short sleeve coat.
The autumn palette of rusty red, beige, black, and various shades of brown further contributed to the collection's gothic undertones. With the exception of one shoulder-baring look, none of the pieces revealed much in the way of skin, further contributing to the ecclesiastical feel of the collection.
