Katy Perry was one of #coachella’s busiest bees as she showed off her new purple hair color, rocked a 90s goth look, body-surfed during a Rihanna performance, and also made time to tweet. Katy tweet-talked some emotional moments, “Last night was spiritual #radiohead…I think I might have cried when I saw Tupac.” Katy also twittered fashion talk during the festival, “In honor of Friday the 13th The CRAFT is the inspiration for this evenings lewk… #takemyscars #coachella… Pretty stoked about my 90’s The Craft meets Garbage meets Tank Girl meets early No Doubt meets Ty from Clueless lewk 4 dis wknd#ohmygoth.” We are pretty stoked too Katy.
Katy’s bestie, Rihanna, who tweeted a picture of her barely there #coachella outfit, “wore top-to-toe @Topshop to take the Coachella Stage.” @Rihanna also took to twitter to #hashtag about Tupac’s hologram-resurrection performance, “#TupacBACK #unbelievable #IWASTHERE #STORY4myGrandKidz.” Israeli supermodel Bar Rafaeli also raved about the performance via Twitter, “Tupac @ Coachella 2012…THIS IS DOPE! i wish i was there! One of fashion’s biggest moments during #coachella happened when Florence Welch took the stage. @NylonMag described Florence’s look via Twitter, “Florence Welch in a wicked queen dress.” Soon after, Grazia Live uncovered that “Hannah Marshall Designs Florence Welch’s Stage Outfit For Coachella 2012!” While fashionistas gushed about her dress, stars raved about the performance. Emma Watson tweeted, “As far as I’m concerned I turned 22 when @flo_tweet sang What the Water Gave Me at Coachella x.”

#Brangelina Finally Decides to Get Hitched

Like everything #Brangelina, the ring’s design received a lot of hype. Fashionista.com enthusiastically tweeted, “BRANGELINA IS ENGAGED! Here are the details on the ring, which Brad Pitt helped design.” #SWOON. Several images of the ring hit the internet and fashion tweeps went hashtag crazy. Lucky Magazine titled the engagement token, “The Brangelina wedding ring,” while Vanity Fair mentions that “Angelina Jolie’s Engagement Ring Already Has its Own Representation.” Can’t wait until “The Brangelina Wedding Gown” hits Twitter.
#Galliano Gets Replaced by Raf Simmons
In other very delayed news, @Dior has finally announced John Galliano’s replacement. The French fashion house tweeted the news: “#DIORMAG. Dior welcomes Raf Simons as Artistic Director of Women’s Haute Couture, RTW and Accessories collections.” After showing a very emotional final collection at Jil Sander, Raf Simons gets hit with the spotlight once again. While most tweeted excitement and relief at the news, others expressed worry regarding Simon’s minimalist style. As expected, Simons and fashion news outlets defended his new position. @Fashionista.com explained,”Don’t call Raf Simons only a minimalist. His thoughts about being at Dior.” Wall Street Journal Style Columnist, Christina Binkley tweeted high-hopes for the change, “Raf Simons wil re-ignite Dior. The house’s fashion was tired and inconsistent under Galliano. @JPGaultier unveiled his latest fashion collaboration with Diet Coke via Twitter.
