Top Spots to Mingle with Fashion Industry Insiders and Celebrities

East Village sandwich shop, JoeDough which just opened its doors one month ago, has already started to attract celebrities including fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker and Brit Russell Brand (just don’t mention Katy Perry). Expect riffs on traditional New York deli sandwiches, including The Conflicted Jew with liver, bacon, and onions on challah.

Located in the New York Historical Society, the much buzzed about Caffè Storico is Stephen Starr’s (of Morimoto and Buddakan) latest project. Part of the $65 million three-year renovation of the NYHS, this 74-seat space is sure to be a big draw.

When Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter took over The Monkey Bar a few years ago, it became an instant go-to for the likes of Anna Wintour. When it started to grow a bit stale, Carter enlisted downtown restaurateur Ken Friedman as a managing partner and now, newly revived, expect to see plenty of buzz-worthy names coming out of the Midtown eatery.

At Catch you’re guaranteed to see one boldface name, Top Chef winner Hung Huynh, who heads the kitchen at this new seafood restaurant from the team behind Tenjune and Abe&Arthur, but given that on a recent eve I spotted Molly Sims, Kenny G, and Russell Simmons, odds are there will be plenty of other notables.

While getting into its penthouse club, PH-D, is no easy feat, try your hand at making a reservation or just meandering around Marble Lane, the lobby restaurant at the hot spot Dream Downtown Hotel where the likes of Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Karlie Kloss, and Jessica Simpson are consistently spotted.

Who says the Upper East Side is dead? From Andy Cohen and Ryan Seacrest to Lauren Bush Lauren and Brooke Shields, The Crown has been attracting influencers since its inception.

With its standing-room-only bar, Sons of Essex is the perfect spot to slip one of your creations into the hands of the likes of Ashley Greene and Padma Lakshmi.

If you’re looking for a laid-back environment, head to The Fat Radish or Left Bank – two downtown spots where Adrian Grenier and Chase Crawford have already been spotted.

On nearly every “best of 2011” list, don’t be surprised to see the likes of Derek Jeter chowing down to your right at The Dutch (pictured).
