Get ready moms because Gwen Stefani is bringing her signature Harajuku shopping district-influenced designs to Target with a line of apparel and accessories for infants, toddlers, and tweens. Launching November 13, Harajuku Mini for Target has been a longtime coming given that few children are consistently as eye-catchingly dressed as Stefani’s kids, Kingston and Zuma Rossdale.
The collection stays true to the designer’s aesthetic with plenty of bright colors, Japanese-inspired illustrations, plaid, faux leather, animal print, tutus, polka dots, and emblazoned one-piece and separates (think “Love Makes Me Cute”), most of which are beyond adorable. Prices range from $3.99 to $29.99 and a second installment is expected to hit Target January 2012.
Stefani’s range follows Missoni for Target, Calypso St. Barth for Target, Petit Tresor for Target, Appaman for Target, and Little Seed for Target, which have all offered pieces for babies, toddlers, and/or tweens. Considering how adorable the Target collection is and given the success of Stefani’s L.A.M.B. range (which includes handbags, accessories, and footwear), her Harajuku Lovers fragrances, and her Harajuku Lovers young contemporary apparel and accessories collections, this is one collection worthy of a Target website crash.
