We caught up with Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Damaris Lewis at the Ford Beauty Suite at the Gramercy Park Hotel this morning. While getting her makeup done, she clued us in on her big Fashion’s Night Out plans and played our New York Fashion Week game of “would you rather…”
Damaris Lewis gets makeup from Donna Fumoso at the Ford Beauty Suite
On her FNO plans: She and Cocho Rocha are planning a traveling flash mob event tonight complete with choreography, costumes, and 20 dancers. Dancing she was 7, they will be “invading five places…no one will see it coming, music will start and we’re just going to go off. Straight 90s style with posing, everything. It’s going to blow people’s minds.” Follow her Twitter @DamarisLewis for hints on where they’ll show up (including the Karl Lagerfeld section at Macy’s Herald Square at 6:30, Zac Posen meatpacking at 8:00, Topshop at 9:00).
On her FNO outfit: For the flash mob, she’ll be wearing “lace tights, leotard, crazy hair, purple lipstick, like Grace Jones. Bringing full on 70s, 80s, 90s fashion to 2011.”

Upcoming plans: “I’ll be 21 in about a month. I’ve done Sports Illustrated three times and have been in the industry for five or six years, but I never really got to embrace the woman side of it. I’ve always kind of been a teen or the baby, so just expect a more grown-up, mature approach to things. More commercial work, and I love hosting. New beginnings.”
