In honor of the upcoming Royal Wedding, British Vogue‘s May issue is a wedding dress bonanza filled with enough princess-ready white gowns to make your head spin. The issue opted for three covers with dresses by Vivienne Westwood, Bruce Oldfield, and Oscar de la Renta. British Vogue‘s Editor-in-Chief, Alexandra Shulman, said she called in tons of gowns (what fun!) and chose the three prettiest ones for the covers. Since the princess-to-be, Kate Middleton, consulted Shulman while picking her dress for the big day, look forward to a lot of Royal Wedding speculation when the issue hits newstands on Thursday. Now that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been cleared of tax evasion charges, the designer duo is living it up by throwing lavish parties for pint-sized pop stars. Dolce and Gabbana hosted an afterparty for Justin Bieber at their Milan restaurant, Gold. The heartthrob showed up wearing head-to-toe Dolce & Gabbana and looking ridiculous. Forget what you’ve heard about horizontal stripes: they aren’t evil and they don’t make you seem heavier – and frankly, stop worrying so much because you look great. Besides, Carine Roitfeld says that “it’s often the case that what a women reads makes her more attractive and more elegant than what she wears.” And I’m wearing black-and-white horizontal stripes right this second, sitting in a room filled with books, and I feel pretty great, so obviously I’m doing something right (although I’m not really seeing anyone, and maybe that’s because horizontal stripes aren’t very flattering?)
