Menswear met art at last night’s special exhibit at Christie’s in New York City. Six “Ken-styled” models each outfitted to look date-ready in CFDA menswear designer outfits were positioned in front of Christie’s art pieces that coordinated with their assigned date set-ups (think picnic date Ken, beach date Ken, formal date Ken…)
The organizers of the lively event couldn’t have done a better job incorporating Fashion Week, Ken, Christie’s first-open post-war and contemporary art sale, and Valentine’s Day. No details from the nimbly bites and the raspberry topped rosé, to the take-home Magnolia Bakery Ken-themed cupcakes and music by Paul Sevigny, were overlooked at the memorable event catered by the famed Mary Giuliani.
