Harrah’s Resort: Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City opened in 1980, and is the flagship resort in Atlantic City for Caesars Entertainment. In recent years, the hotel and resort has undergone several renovations and expansions to the casino floor, in general public areas as well as the addition of several new restaurant concepts. In 2008, Harrah’s Resort debuted its $500 million expansion known as the Waterfront which included a brand new, 940-room hotel tower, resort and entertainment mecca The Pool, the Waterfront Shops and Waterfront Buffet, an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, and Taste of the Shore quick bite eatateria in addition to restaurants including Dos Caminos, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, Luke Palladino’s and Sammy D’s, among others.
Resorts Casino Hotel: Located right on the Atlantic City Boardwalk overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Resorts Casino Hotel launched the summer with a $35-million Margaritaville complex on Memorial Day Weekend, including Margaritaville Café, the year-round LandShark Bar & Grill located on the beach and a Margaritaville Coffee Shop. The launch is part of $60-million in improvements to the hotel. Resorts kicked off the Margaritaville opening with a ribbon cutting event featuring New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and a beach concert featuring live performances by Jimmy Buffett on June 15. The concert brought in 75,000 people! The Jimmy Buffett beach vibe runs throughout Resorts, it’s quite ridiculous — in all the right ways.
