Rocco Liu is now installed at the top job at Vogue China HQ as the title’s editorial director. Liu replaced Margaret Zhang earlier this year, who departed the magazine after a three-year stint. Rocco continues to find his footing, having welcomed Liu Yifei, an ensemble cast of Chinese talent, and Zheng QinWen as cover stars to the Chinese fashion bible over recent months. Up next on the cover of Vogue China is Lina Zhang. The prolific Chinese model (and current face of mega brands like Ferragamo, Fendi, and Michael Kors Collection) poses for photographer Hailun Ma. Zhang is celebrated across a quarter of covers for the occasion, and is joined by her two young sons in two of the cover photographs.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Very cute,” instantly admired Kimy Jo.
“Happy for Lina Zhang! This is quite cute,” Nomar echoed.
“Oh I love the lilac cover. Soooo pretty and the rest are just… SUBLIME!” heralded oaklee91.
“Although is always a treat to see Lina Zhang, this particular cover story is (photography and fashion-wise) rather flat and pedestrian, especially by current Chinese mag-standards!” voiced Zorka.
“I’m with you, 100%,” replied vogue28. “However, I cannot bring myself to start complaining about the sight of Lina Zhang on the cover of Vogue China. The cover with the lilac dress is kinda… fabulous!”
Yet not everyone was so forthcoming. “I was not a fan of Margaret Zhang but her Vogue was superior to anything this Rocco guy has done so far,” stated GivenchyAddict.
“That font scares me,” critiqued forum member onlooker.
