Anthony Vaccarello sure knows how to pick em’ when it comes to casting the advertising campaigns of Saint Laurent. Since joining the ranks as creative director of the fabled French fashion house in 2016, Vaccarello has successfully secured the likes of Catherine Deneuve, Kate Moss, Charlotte Rampling, Jerry Hall, and Diana Ross (to name a very select few) as the face and embodiment of the house founded by Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent in 1961. Next up as the face of Saint Laurent is Gwyneth Paltrow. Vaccarello taps the American actress and Goop founder for the Spring 2025 campaign offering, complete with photography from David Sims. Paltrow suits up in a sharp black tuxedo jacket in the campaign photo, gazing down Sims’ lens sporting slicked-back hair and a minimal makeup look.
Gwyneth Paltrow for the Saint Laurent Spring 2025 Campaign:
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“I’m into it,” shared forum member lelaid upon checking out the campaign.
“I’m always a sucker for Gwyneth Paltrow, especially when she’s not in Brentwood mom mode. I like her for Saint Laurent,” approved KoV.
“I’m just appreciative that it’s not another black and white studio-shot campaign image from David Sims for Saint Laurent. Personally, I could take or leave Gwyneth Paltrow but I don’t hate this. Paltrow looks good, I like the slicked-back hair and the sharpness of the blazer,” vogue28 voiced.
Ihhbl commented: “Gwyneth Paltrow is looking so rich here. I’m almost able to ignore the weird fitting of the blazer!”
Not everyone, however, was so forgiving. “The lighting in this image of Gwyneth is terrible. I can’t believe David Sims shot it! And Gwyneth for YSL? Are they really that desperate now?” asked style_expert.
“A piece of rotten wood is sexier than Gwyneth Paltrow,” Alquimista critiqued.
