Sabato De Sarno is yet to show any signs of ditching Kendall Jenner as the face of Gucci. The American model was first the face of the Gucci Valleria campaign (alongside Bad Bunny) and was more recently welcomed as part of the cast for chapter one of the Gucci Gift campaign for the 2024 holiday season. Jenner is back for the second chapter, of the Gucci Gift campaign, coming together with Kirsty Hume, Violet Hume, Addison Soens, Diane Chiu, Devyn Garcia, Jannik Sinner, and Nile Winchester. Entitled “To the Mountains”, the Gucci gang head off on a festive alpine adventure via the lens of photographer Anthony Seklaoui (a firm fave of Gucci creative director Sabato De Sarno).

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Oh dear, this is truly sad and tragic. Nothing about this campaign is chic or charming or anything. A Gucci branded sweater with a GG monogram cardigan over the top paired with GG mittens and GG hat, and then finished off with a GG monogram duffle. They couldn’t possibly insert any more logos into that look if they tried. And Kendall Jenner at a brand that is allegedly trying to become more ‘timeless’ and ‘elevated’? Seriously?” asked Frederic01.
“These people are getting paid millions for coming up with sh*t like this. Have fun while the ship is sinking,” voiced an unforgiving avonlea002.
Also majorly underwhelmed was jeremydante. “Casting Kendall Jenner is pointless. It really is. It’s almost lazy. And I get it, she can be a canvas but it’s so flat here,” they critiqued.
“Admittedly, I don’t mind the sight of Kendall Jenner here or the photography from Anthony Seklaoui. However, there’s no denying it all just feels a little… cheap coming from a brand like Gucci. The sense of luxury, once again, completely missing from a Sabato De Sarno Gucci campaign,” slammed vogue28.
