A select few editions of Vogue from across the globe have undergone changes over recent months, particularly with a change in leadership. Rocco Liu is now installed as editorial director at Vogue China, Linda Gumus Gerritsen is heading up Vogue Netherlands and Elis Kiss replaced Thaleia Karafyllidou as editor-in-chief of Vogue Greece in July. Following on from Kiss’ first issue as editor for September, the magazine’s former fashion director taps models Beauïse Genç and Maike Inga for the October 2024 edition of Vogue Greece. In cover one, Genç stares intensely down the lens of photographer Phil Poynter in a mashup of pieces from Dries Van Noten, The Row, and Adidas. For the second black and white alternative cover, Panos Davios captures Maike Inga sporting Atlein and Jil Sander.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“They definitive didn’t do justice to Beauïse. Quite a bad cover. She looks like a psycho. Maike cover is okay, styling is good, but the facial expression is awful,” commented BelkaniStaCouture.
“Fire the stylist of the first cover IMMEDIATELY,” blueorchid declared.
“Looks like some corporate guidebook,” Urban Stylin noted.
Also not exactly best impressed was caioherrero. “The art direction under the editor is terrible,” they complained.
“I have a strong feeling Vogue Greece will sink to a new low under Elis Kiss,” replied vogue28. “You can already sense the weaker direction in the covers alone over recent months – this right here with Beauïse and Maika included. The styling on poor Beauïse Genç’s cover is ATROCIOUS. What a hideous cover look!”
